Conveniently located in the heart of UBC, the much sought after East Campus neighbourhood is located between Wesbrook Mall and Acadia Park. This growing community overlooks Thunderbird Park and has numerous recreation facilities to the west. With its mid-rise multi-family buildings and two mid-rise towers, East Campus at UBC has at least 13 buildings with some condominiums on leased land, plus some residences with permanent property ownership. Close to all the amenities for a home at the university, East Campus is surrounded by green spaces, large playgrounds and a tree-lined greenway.

Your family centre for learning

More and more Point Grey families are finding out with a residence at East Campus, your children can begin life-long learning with pre-school on campus, attend kindergarten, elementary school, graduate from a top provincial secondary school, then attend UBC - all in one community. The highly touted Norma Rose Point School offers grade K to 8, while the academic standards of University Hill Secondary School with grades 8 to 12, is the only school in all of Vancouver to offer TESSI courses (Technology Enhanced Secondary Science Instruction). University Hill Pre-School, Magnussen School with K to 7 and the Berwick Child Development Centre all add the East Campus reputation.

Get out and play

The East Campus neighbourhood is beside some of the finest recreation facilities in the country. Go for a swim at UBC Aquatic Centre, hit the ice at the Doug Mitchel Thunderbird Sport Centre a 2010 Olympic venue, or for game/set/match it’s the UBC Tennis Centre. The Old Barn Community Centre features exercise rooms, yoga classes & meeting rooms, plus a Bean Around the World coffee shop. A key component of UBC's livability is the East Campus Park with connected water features, gathering squares, community gardens and softball diamond. Naturally, the crown jewel is Pacific Spirit Park, a hiker's paradise with over 54 km of trails outside your door.

From here to there

Getting to-and-from the UBC campus in Point Grey is easier than ever with more than 80,000 user trips by BC Transit. 15 bus routes connect UBC to Skytrain in Vancouver, the Canada Line and to Metro Vancouver major municipalities. Vehicle access to the East Campus neighbourhood includes 10th, 16th or 41st Avenue. The UBC campus is approximately 20 minutes from Vancouver International Airport, 15 minutes to South Granville and 20 minutes to downtown Vancouver.
